I have worked as a head and neck surgeon for over 30 years, engaged in operative treatment of laryngeal cancer, hypopharyngeal cancer, and thyroid cancer, etc. I am skilled in various types of laryngeal function preservation surgery and open or video-assisted thyroid cancer surgery, also experienced in treatment of emergency or complicated cases such as laryngotracheal stenosis. I have carried out lots of research on invention of laryngeal function preservation techniques, proposing a novel approach to resection of pyriform sinus carcinoma via the paraglottic space, and innovatively retracting the tongue flap inferiorly for repairing the defect after removal of supraglottic laryngeal lesion. I was in charge of several expert consensuses on surgical treatment of hypopharyngeal and laryngeal cancers, including the first Chinese expert consensus on surgery and comprehensive treatment of hypopharyngeal carcinoma, expert consensus on multiple primary cancers of hypopharynx and esophagus, etc. I keep devoting myself to improving laryngeal preservation rates and prognosis of head and neck oncology patients and in 2019, I was elected as the leader of the Subspecialty Group of Head and Neck Surgery, the Society of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Chinese Medical Association.
