Tsung-Lin Yang, MD, PhD, EMBA, is a surgeon-scientist specializing in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, oncology, ultrasound, and regenerative medicine. He serves as the Chief and Professor of head and neck surgery at the National Taiwan University Hospital and oversees the industrial-academic cooperation at National Taiwan University. Prof. Yang is an expert in surgical oncology, particularly in robotic surgery. He is renowned for his advanced surgical techniques, including the transhairline approach, and for inventing innovative devices such as Yang's retractors, which significantly enhance robotic surgery in the head and neck region. His pioneering efforts have established him as a leader in robotic surgery in Taiwan. Additionally, Prof. Yang has made significant strides in the application and advancement of ultrasound-guided procedures for both diagnosis and treatment. His research has shed light on the critical role of tumor satellite budding in head and neck cancer. In his laboratory, Prof. Yang and his team focus on studying organ regeneration techniques.
