As a head and neck surgeon, I am experienced in dealing with various surgical diseases in the head and neck region, especially laryngeal, hypopharyngeal and thyroid malignancies. I am familiar with various laryngeal function preservation techniques for treatment of laryngeal and hypopharyngeal tumors in the moderate and late stage. And I took part in developing several novel laryngeal function preservation techniques as the key participant, including the paraglottic space approach applied in the hypopharyngeal carcinoma. As the deputy leader of the Subspecialty Group of Head and Neck Surgery, the Society of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Chinese Medical Association, I have been involved in several expert consensuses on diagnosis and treatment of head and neck cancers, making contributions to enhancing treatment of head and neck cancers in China. In addition, I keep trying to identify new biomarkers and mechanisms underlying pathogenesis, metastasis and local recurrence of head and neck cancers, based on investigation on non-coding RNAs, radiomics, metabonomics, etc. Our findings have been published in international peer-reviewed journals, such as Molecular Cancer, European Journal of Radiology, etc. I am dedicating myself to translating our scientific advances into clinical practice.
